Greetings! I'm Marlena Mitchell, Founder and Executive Director of AfroGlobal Travel, and I’m thrilled to share my passion for education, travel, and environmental sustainability with you.

As a Spanish teacher, I discovered that the classroom, while essential, wasn't enough to fully immerse students in the rich tapestry of global cultures. My early years in a vibrant, multilingual community instilled in me a deep appreciation for the diverse experiences of the African diaspora. This appreciation inspired me to create AfroGlobal Travel, where I aim to give Black youth the transformative opportunities that shaped my life.

At AfroGlobal Travel, we believe in the power of connecting with culture, appreciating the environment, and giving back through service. Our mission is to empower Black youth through global exploration, fostering deep cultural connections, and dismantling financial barriers that often hinder international education and travel. We offer immersive experiences that go beyond traditional tourism, enabling participants to engage with local communities, participate in environmental sustainability projects, and develop leadership skills.

By exploring the world, connecting with different cultures, and contributing to meaningful service projects, our participants gain a deeper understanding of their heritage and the global African diaspora. They return home with enriched perspectives, stronger leadership skills, and a commitment to environmental and social justice.
